WebAug 10, 2016 · 28. 1. it is primary fluid. the leak started at 2,000 miles. 10 ultra, 37,816 showing. I have replaced the bearing 4 times and the seal 6 times. I replaced the trans at 18,500 miles because of another issue relating to dealer service or lack thereof. the new trans is starting to weep at the shifter seal but that is a minor issue at this time. WebMar 18, 2010 · Stand your bike as straight up as you can get it. On the right hand side you'll see a chrome cover where the clutch cable runs into it. There is a plug in this cover that uses a large hex key (7/16") to remove it. There is a dip stick on the plug. Check the level of the fluid in the transmission.

WebSep 12, 2009 · Apparently the bottom two bolts on the transmission cover have a tendency to vibrate loose. Just as a side note, I first noticed it as a small leak under the primary on the other side of the bike. It was traveling across the bottom plate from the transmission while leaning on the kickstand.
