WebOne of the many who watched the first few Cadets sailing in the creek was Mr Harry Brickwood, boss of the brewery, and a keen yachtsman. He saw the advantage of teaching children to sail in the safe waters of the creek and gave encouragement to the enterprise by presenting the Brickwood trophy for competition amongst Clubs with Cadet fleets. WebMay 7, 2016 · To this day his service to refereeing is memorialized by the Harry Brickwood Trophy presented each year to the referee who has contributed most throughout the season to the spirit of the Society. Brickwood refereed at the inaugural 1976 Hong Kong Sevens and was a key proponent of Schools rugby.
